Recipients

Only authorised University departments have access to this data: CDTIC, the Communication Service, the Rectorate and, for a contact message, the department concerned by your request.

The site is self-hosted: data is stored on the University’s servers at CDTIC, in Cameroon. Emails from the site and the newsletter go through the University’s internal mail system.

Only audience measurement, if you accept it, involves an external provider: Google (Google Analytics), which processes browsing data on servers outside Cameroon, notably in the United States. This transfer only takes place with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to object to or restrict its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw your consent at any time.

  • Newsletter: every newsletter contains a personal unsubscribe link. It leads to a page that erases your data once you confirm.
  • Other requests: write to dpo@univ-ndere.cm or by post to the Data Protection Officer, University of Ngaoundéré, PO Box 454 Ngaoundéré. You will receive an answer within one month. If there is any doubt about your identity, proof may be requested.

If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may refer the matter to the Cameroonian personal data protection authority. People living in the European Union may also contact the data protection authority of their country.

Pupils under 18, applying for the baccalaureate or for competitive examinations, may use this site. We encourage them to do so with their parents’ agreement. Any data concerning a minor is erased on simple request from the pupil or their parents to dpo@univ-ndere.cm, with no justification required.
