🎓 50th Ordinary Session of the Board of Directors of The University of Ngaoundéré

On 1 December 2023, the Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of The University of Ngaoundéré, ADJI ABDOULAYE HAMAN, presided over the 50th ordinary session of the Board. This meeting was mainly devoted to the review and adoption of the administrative account and the management account for the 2022 budget year.

In his opening address, the PCA highlighted the difficult context facing the University. He reaffirmed his mission to put the institution back on track and turn it around. The PCA called on the Rector, Pr MAMOUDOU ABDOULMOUMINI, to rigorously apply the laws in force and to prioritise collaboration in order to restore calm on campus.

The Chairman of the Board also urged the Rector to work towards the rehabilitation of infrastructure and the full electrification of the campus in order to strengthen security. He recommended an internal audit, stressing the need to combat waste and corruption in order to give the University a new impetus.

Professor MAMOUDOU ADOULMOUMINI, in a proactive response, mentioned actions undertaken as soon as he took office, notably measures aimed at cleaning up the finances, a staff census to control the payroll, improvements to infrastructure, and the reopening of the restaurant and the hall of residence.

The results of these actions were well received by the board members, as highlighted in the PCA’s press release, which welcomes the return of calm to the institution and commends the Rector for the quality of the documents presented.

These advances demonstrate the joint efforts to strengthen the stability and reputation of The University of Ngaoundéré.
