21 February 2024 will remain etched in the annals of The University of Ngaoundéré with the official launch of the 2024 financial year budget. Under the enlightened leadership of the Rector, Prof. Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini, this event marks the beginning of a new era of financial management for our institution.
In the presence of the Specialised Financial Controller, Madam Younoussa Rehanna, as well as the heads of institutions and financial officials from the regional tax authorities and the university, the Rector underlined the crucial importance of this step in ensuring the financial stability and sustainable development of our university.
In his inspiring speech, the Rector called for responsible management of resources, emphasising the tightening of public dependency, increased revenue mobilisation, the reduction of unnecessary expenditure and the optimisation of socio-economic efficiency.
The delegated authorising officers, the economic operators and the stakeholders of the university’s financial chain were also informed of the clear directives set out in the Circular on budget execution and control, thereby demonstrating the university’s commitment to greater transparency and accountability in the management of funds.
Together, with determination and responsibility, we are ready to make 2024 a year of financial and academic success for The University of Ngaoundéré.
