23rd edition of the University Games THE UNIVERSITY OF NGAOUNDÉRÉ ON A CHARM OFFENSIVE IN DOUALA

The Rector of The University of Ngaoundéré, Prof. UPHIE CHINJE Florence, led a delegation from The University of Ngaoundéré to Douala on 17 March 2023. The aim of this tour is to conduct a marketing and mobilisation operation targeting businesses, patrons, economic operators and the media, in order to win the wager of organising the University Games, which will take place from 29 April to 06 May 2023 at The University of Ngaoundéré. Lecture Hall 200 of the École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) of the University of Douala was packed to capacity, drawing in businesses including MTN, ORANGE, Source du Pays and Nescafé. According to the Rector, this tour forms part of a pre-campaign to present the University Games to the administrative authorities and business leaders. It is a window opening onto the intensity of the great interuniversity sporting and cultural gathering. The University Games are the biggest sporting event in the university environment and a great moment for talent-spotting through the Génie et Talent de l’Étudiant Camerounais (GETEC). They are also a genuine opportunity for businesses, university institutions and grandes écoles, associations and non-governmental organisations to increase their visibility. On 14 March 2023, the kick-off of the University Games was held on the esplanade of Lecture Hall 300 of the University of Yaoundé I. It brought together several partners and business leaders who intend to lend their support to the success of the 23rd edition of the University Games under the theme « Contribution of the University Games to the building of peace and sustainable development ».
