The CLINAC Lean Sciencepreneur programme is designed for you, STEM students and researchers, who wish to go beyond your university research or degrees to transform your academic knowledge into a profitable business model that creates economic value.
In 6 weeks, you will harness the cutting-edge knowledge, tools and workflows of the CLINAC platform to transform your ideas into scalable and highly profitable business models.
This is Central Africa’s leading deeptech innovation programme, designed to help you achieve the following objectives:
1. Build business models based on your research projects or the university knowledge you have acquired.
2. Gain access to investors who can grow your startup or business model into a fully-fledged company.
3. Move from being a university degree holder to becoming a business model innovator.
4. Take your experimental results or research (publications, patents, dissertations or technical skills) out of the laboratory and into the business world.

University training helps you acquire knowledge, while the CLINAC Lean Sciencepreneur Technological Designer programme will help you convert university knowledge into industrial applications.
Why should you apply academic knowledge?
Market competition puts pressure on SMEs to innovate in their business models and identify new growth drivers.
However, these SMEs do not have the budget required to maintain an in-house innovation team or to call on the expertise of major innovation consultancy firms.

This initiative was subsidised by the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and its partners through the PRICNAC call for applications, a project of the OEACP secretariat funded by the European Union.

The CLINAC Lean Sciencepreneur programme is exclusive to candidates who meet the following requirements:
1. Have strong motivation to take the entrepreneurial path and apply your academic knowledge or expertise to create a business.
2. Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics, or be currently enrolled at a university in Central Africa.
3. Be a student, researcher or entrepreneur who has a business project idea or has already worked on starting a business.
