By radio press release of 19 April 2022, the Rector of The University of Ngaoundéré, Prof. F. Uphie CHINJE, informs the university community and the general public that the President of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (CONAC) will launch the campaign « Your phone is a weapon to fight corruption: use it! » on Wednesday 20 April 2022 in Lecture Hall 750, from 10:30 am. Classes will be suspended from 10 am to 12 noon so that everyone can take part in the ceremony.
The campaign aims to publicise CONAC’s new communication channels: a WhatsApp account, an integrated e-mail box and a renovated website, designed to make it easier to report corruption and submit evidence of corrupt acts.
The programme includes the arrival of the Governor of the Adamawa Region, the national anthem performed by the University’s Integrity Club, a welcome address by the Rector, the presentation of the CONAC website, a speech by the President of CONAC and the launch of the campaign by the Governor, followed at 12 noon by an awareness campaign for the populations of Dang and Ngaoundéré.
