Official Installation Ceremony of the New Officials of The University of Ngaoundéré

10 October 2023, at Lecture Hall 750 of The University of Ngaoundéré, marked an unforgettable moment in the history of this institution. A solemn ceremony was held to formalise the installation of the new officials appointed by presidential decrees and a ministerial order, respectively No. 2023/385 and No. 2023/386 of 30 August 2023, and Order No. 230017/MINESUP of 29 September 2023, signed by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders.

Distinguished guests honoured this event, including the Governor of the Adamaoua Region, represented by his Secretary General, the Prefect of Vina, the Sub-Prefect of Ngaoundéré 3rd, the Mayor of the Ngaoundéré 3rd Council, and representatives of His Majesty the Lamido of Ngaoundéré.

Senior officials of The University of Ngaoundéré were of course present, with the participation of the Vice-Rectors, the Secretary General, the Technical Adviser, and the Directorate of Academic Affairs and Cooperation (DAAC).

The ceremony was graced by the presence of heads of institutions, eminent Professors, Associate Professors and lecturers of The University of Ngaoundéré, testifying to the importance of the occasion and the support for the new officials.

The families of the newly appointed officials, students and members of the university community responded en masse to the Rector’s call to attend this solemn ceremony at Lecture Hall 750. This ceremony was all the more significant as it marked the Rector’s first public address since his installation.

After the speeches and commitments to a prosperous future for the University, a moment of solemnity arose when the Rector called for a minute of silence in memory of Professor Edith FOUMBANG, former Director of ENSAI, who recently passed away. This moment recalled the importance of remembering and honouring those who have contributed to the academic excellence of The University of Ngaoundéré.

The installation ceremony symbolises a new chapter in the history of The University of Ngaoundéré, where vision, commitment and leadership converge to pave the way for a prosperous and innovative academic future.
