This Friday 26 April 2024 marks a major turning point for The University of Ngaoundéré, with the official launch of the « Crucible for Lean Digital Innovation in Central Africa » (CLINAC) project by the Rector, Professor MAMOUDOU ABDOULMOUMINI. Funded by the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) to the amount of 175,000 euros, i.e. CFAF 114,871,475, this ambitious project promises to revolutionise the digital innovation landscape in the region.

Project Objectives

Under the coordination of Professor Nicolas NJINTANG YANOU, CLINAC aims to achieve three main objectives:

  1. Create a digital platform for publishing training modules online.
  2. Train young people in cutting-edge technologies.
  3. Facilitate the professional integration of young people into companies.

Alignment with the National Strategy

This project fits perfectly within the framework of the development of the agro-economy as defined by the new guidance law of the Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP). The Rector encouraged other institutions to follow the example of ENSAI, which succeeded in obtaining this innovative funding from the AUF.

International Recognition

Serge BABATOUDÉ CAKPO, Deputy Regional Director of the AUF for Central Africa and the Great Lakes, expressed his satisfaction at the progress made by The University of Ngaoundéré. He praised the Rector’s leadership and the institution’s commitment to becoming a centre of excellence in the sub-region.

The launch of the CLINAC project represents a decisive step in The University of Ngaoundéré’s quest for innovation and development. Thanks to this visionary initiative, the institution is positioning itself as a key player in digital transformation in Central Africa, thus offering new learning and employment opportunities for young people in the region.
