The Rector of The University of Ngaoundéré Honoured for His Managerial Excellence

On 29 July 2024, the Rector of The University of Ngaoundéré, Professor Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini, was honoured with the prestigious 2023-2024 Managerial Excellence Award. This award, presented by the President of the Collectif des Journalistes d’Investigation du Cameroun, Sylvain Tah, crowns a year of exemplary leadership and rigorous management within the institution.

An Award Based on Exceptional Governance Criteria

Professor Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini was selected from among the 11 rectors of Cameroon’s State universities for his honesty, integrity, transparency and managerial rigour. These criteria were decisive in the choice of the winner, highlighting the way in which he embodies public morality and effectively implements government policies on higher education.

Leadership and the Fight Against Corruption

Under Professor Abdoulmoumini’s leadership, The University of Ngaoundéré distinguished itself not only through optimised organisation and operation, but also through rigorous academic oversight. The fight against corruption has also been a major focus of his term, strengthening confidence in the management of the university.

A Well-Deserved Recognition

According to Yombi Ignace, Secretary General of the Collectif des Journalistes d’Investigation, Professor Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini stood out for his exemplary governance. « In one year, he has achieved what his predecessors failed to do, » he stated, thereby commending the Rector’s achievements. Professor Abdoulmoumini obtained a remarkable score of 17 out of 20, demonstrating his managerial excellence.

Loyalty to the Head of State

The distinction received by the Rector also reflects continued loyalty to the Head of State, His Excellency Paul Biya. Professor Abdoulmoumini has aligned his management with presidential directives, while promoting a culture of transparency and integrity within the university.

This recognition of Professor Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini by the Collectif des Journalistes d’Investigation du Cameroun reinforces his status as a leader in the field of higher education in Cameroon. It highlights not only his ability to lead effectively, but also to embody the essential values of public morality.
