EGCIM Holds Its Management Board Meeting

The Rector of The University of Ngaoundéré, Prof. MAMOUDOU ABDOULMOUMINI, chaired the 2nd session of the Management Board of the School of Chemical Engineering and Mineral Industries (EGCIM) on 1 July 2024. The ceremony was held in the school’s meeting room, in the presence of representatives of several partner ministries and representatives of partner enterprises.

The agenda mainly focused on:

• The presentation of the activity reports for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 academic years, and the EGCIM’s 2023 performance report;
• Proposals relating to the new framework law on Higher Education;
• Research, cooperation and partnership strategies;
• The presentation of the draft academic regulations.

In his welcome address, the Rector, who also chairs the EGCIM’s Management Board, highlighted the challenges facing the school, including:

• Innovative research;
• Modern requirements;
• The development of partnerships with enterprises;
• Aligning teaching with sustainable, environmentally-related solutions;
• Creation and creativity.

At the end of the Board meeting, Rector Prof. MAMOUDOU ABDOULMOUMINI and the Director of the EGCIM, Prof. Esther NGAH, were commended by the Management Board’s governing body for the near-total implementation of the resolutions from the first session held in 2023 and for the quality of the documents presented.
