THE UNIVERSITY OF NGAOUNDÉRÉ ADOPTS A BUDGET OF OVER CFAF 7 BILLION

At its 49th session of the Board of Directors, held on 30 January 2023, the statutory members of the said Board unanimously adopted the budget of The University of Ngaoundéré, the total amount of which is CFAF 7,506,050,687, balanced between revenue and expenditure. That is CFAF 6,924,050,687 for operating costs and CFAF 582,000,000 for investment. The Board was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The University of Ngaoundéré, ABDOULAYE BABALÉ. At the end of the Board meeting, the statutory members took a guided tour of the University Digital Development Centre (CDNU) of The University of Ngaoundéré, where the Board meeting was held.

The guests duly appreciated this wonderful gift offered by the Head of State, His Excellency Paul BIYA, to The University of Ngaoundéré. The CDNU is equipped with state-of-the-art digital devices of the latest generation. It includes, among other things, a distance-learning room equipped with an interactive touch-screen board, a course recording room, a videoconferencing room, servers, mixers and giant screens. The Board of Directors meeting ended on a note of satisfaction: Madam Rector of The University of Ngaoundéré, Prof. UPHIE CHINJE Florence, and her team were commended for the quality of the documents presented and the efforts made for the smooth running of the Institution, which will host the 23rd edition of the University Games scheduled from 29 April to 6 May 2023. Despite the reduction in the budget envelope, the Chairman of the Board of Directors was pleased that The University of Ngaoundéré is at the forefront of financial resource management.
