Dear members of the university community,

We are pleased to announce that The University of Ngaoundéré is preparing to celebrate International University Sports Day on 20 September 2023, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education. This global day is an opportunity to highlight the essential role of university sport in promoting peace and sustainable development.

Theme of the Year: « The contribution of university sport to building peace and sustainable development »

During this special day, we will have a varied programme of sporting and educational activities that reflect our commitment to these fundamental values.

The planned activities include:

  1. Futsal : An indoor football tournament that will pit our university teams against each other.
  2. Pétanque : A traditional bowls game in which precision and strategy are essential.
  3. Battle Dance : A contemporary dance competition to showcase your artistic talent.
  4. Community Work : An educational exhibition on the role of sport in personal development.
  5. Conference/Debate : A forum to discuss the contributions of university sport to peace and development.
  6. Sports Walk : A collective walk that will begin at exactly 7.00 a.m. from the starting point at the gatehouse.

We warmly invite administrative officials, teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as all students, to actively take part in this day by joining the Sports Walk. This is a unique opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to peace, sustainable development and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

Join us on 20 September 2023 to celebrate International University Sports Day and help make our university a place where sport and education come together for a better future. 🏆🌍🤸‍♂️ #SportUniversitaire #Paix #DéveloppementDurable #UniversitéNgaoundéré
