THE UNIVERSITY OF NGAOUNDÉRÉ: PROFESSOR MAMOUDOU ABDOULMOUMINI AT THE HELM

Appointed by presidential decree No. 2023/384 of 30 August 2023, the new rector was officially installed on 7 September 2023 by the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Chancellor of Academic Orders, Prof. Jacques FAME NDONGO. Killing two birds with one stone, MINETAT/MINESUP also took the opportunity to install the Chairman of the Board of Directors of The University of Ngaoundéré, ADJI ABDOULAYE HAMAN. The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, gave directives to the newly appointed officials:  » Ensure academic, managerial, heuristic and digital development outreach. As you know, universities are now aligned with digital governance and social outreach « , he warned.

According to the new rector, he is aware of the challenges ahead:  » The University of Ngaoundéré today has several projects under way, both in terms of infrastructure and general management. Together with my colleagues, we will be able to work together to meet the various challenges  » he assures. A native of Belel, he has spent his career at The University of Ngaoundéré, which he knows very well. Before his appointment, he successively held the posts of Vice-Rector in Charge of Teaching and the Professionalisation of Information and Communication Technologies; Director of the School of Veterinary Sciences and Medicine (ESMV); Deputy Director of ESMV; Head of the Department of Parasitology and Parasitic Pathology; Head of the Internship and Continuing Education Service. He is author and co-author of 49 scientific works.

Like the Rector, the Chairman of the Board of Directors is a scholar and a man of experience. ADJI ABDOULAYE HAMAN is a graduate of the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM). He held several positions of responsibility at the Ministry of Territorial Administration before being promoted to Minister of Urban Development and Housing between 2002 and 2004. He also held the position of Government Delegate to the Maroua Urban Council. This native of Maroua holds several honorary distinctions, including Knight of the Order of Valour, Commander, and Grand Officer of the Order of Valour. According to the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, the newly promoted officials have the required profile.
