It is with deep sorrow that the University of Ngaoundéré pays posthumous tribute to Professor Edith FOMBANG, Director of the National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences (ENSAI). Her sudden passing on Friday 4 August 2023, after a short illness, leaves an immense void in Cameroonian higher education as a whole and at the University of Ngaoundéré in particular.
Professor Edith FOMBANG was far more than a dedicated Director: she was a pillar of the agri-food industries field, a model of perseverance and excellence. Her leadership inspired generations of students as well as fellow researchers, and contributed to the scientific standing of our institution.
In these difficult times, our thoughts go to her family, her loved ones and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her. The memory of Professor Edith FOMBANG will remain engraved in our minds and will continue to guide our actions in the years to come.
