The University of Ngaoundéré Holds Its 52nd Session of the Board of Directors

On 29 July 2024, The University of Ngaoundéré held the 52nd session of its Board of Directors in ENSAI’s Assembly Hall. Chaired by Mr Adji Abdoulaye Haman, and with the active participation of the Rector, Professor Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini, this session addressed crucial issues for the future of the institution.

Adoption of the 2023 Administrative Account and Management Account

The first item on the agenda concerned the review and adoption of the administrative account and the management account for the 2023 financial year. After careful analysis, the Board approved these financial documents, highlighting the rigorous management of the university’s resources.

Report on the Execution of the 2024 Budget

The second item concerned the execution of the budget for the 2024 financial year. At the midpoint, the collection rate for own-source revenue reached 45.59%, reflecting satisfactory budgetary performance. The Board encouraged the continuation of these efforts to ensure optimal use of the available funds.

Disposal of Obsolete Equipment

Another major topic addressed was the disposal of obsolete equipment. The Board mandated the Rector to carry out this disposal, in strict compliance with the regulations in force. This initiative aims to modernise the university’s equipment, thereby improving working and learning conditions.

Opening Speech by the Chairman of the Board

In his opening speech, Mr Adji Abdoulaye Haman urged administrative and financial officials to work collaboratively for the efficient management of financial resources. He also expressed his satisfaction regarding the cancellation of the tax debt by the Ministry of Finance, an achievement attributed to the efforts of Professor Mamoudou Abdoulmoumini.

Recognition of the Rector’s Efforts

Representatives of the teaching staff and support staff, and the Delegate General for Students, all commended Professor Abdoulmoumini’s managerial approach. They highlighted his commitment to improving the university’s image and operation, efforts that have been widely recognised and appreciated.

Closing of the Session

At the end of the proceedings, the Board of Directors welcomed the constructive atmosphere of the discussions and noted with appreciation the calm within the administrative and financial chain of The University of Ngaoundéré. This session marks an important step towards the modernisation and good governance of the institution.
